Oversee all aspects of individual and corporate donor development including Alumni Relations and Planned Giving
o Identified and cultivated over 350 major and planned giving donors in various areas throughout the Western States Affiliate leading to an almost 9-fold increase in current gifts over a four year period. o Directly responsible for grant writing campaign resulting in initial 3 years of funding, enabling the successful launch of San Diego Operation Stroke, making it the best-funded American Heart Association program throughout the Western States Affiliate. o Secured donor funding for special projects including the placement of Automatic External Defibrillators (AED's) within the Coronado Police Department and San Diego International Airport. Worked to bring together multiple organizations in the formation of the San Diego Project Heartbeat partnership with the City of San Diego increasing total number of AED units available for use during cardiovascular emergencies.
o Supervised and managed 23 regional major gift, fundraising, communications, advocacy, program and support staff leading the San Francisco office to become one of only 4 offices (out of 18 total divisions throughout the Western States Affiliate) to exceed the campaign goal for each fiscal year by more then 46%. o Identified, recruited and retained a Board of Directors with influence and affluence who served as natural partners in the cultivation of key relationships in different market segments within the organization which ultimately impacted our ability to exceed our annual campaign goals. o Senior Management Team member responsible for reviewing and establishing organization strategic direction, priorities, processes and approaches.
o Created state-wide major gifts, annual giving, planned giving and grant writing programs that incorporated identification, cultivation, retention and expansion strategies resulting in a 7-fold increase in revenue growth over a twelve month period. Awarded the First Gift Achievement Award for outstanding achievement in this area. o Worked inclusively to build consensus with geographically dispersed volunteer groups including two community councils, 2 regional volunteer Boards and 1 statewide executive committee which dramatically impacted my ability to successfully plan, promote and manage 14 state-wide special events including development of collateral materials for print, radio and television media. o Successfully managed and directed 13 paid staff and 21 volunteer committees consisting of over 107 members throughout the State of Nevada.
